About the role

Working within the City Planning and Infrastructure division which plans, designs, builds and maintains the City for our growing community, the Asset Consent Officer will provide advice, education and enforcement regarding Vehicle Crossover Permits, Working within the road reserve Permits, any associated Local Laws, Council standards, policies and relevant legislation.

In this role you will

  • Provide advice and information regarding Permit processes and Local Law as required
  • Investigate and resolve any breaches relating to Working in the Road Reserve and Vehicle Crossing Permits
  • Assist, provide advice and perform inspections prior to, during and upon completion of the construction or reinstatement of vehicle crossings and Road Reserve
  • Ensure construction impacting Council’s infrastructure is undertaken in accordance with Council standards, policies and relevant legislation.
  • Issue and inspect Working within the Road Reserve Permits in conjunction with other Casey Departments

About you

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Vehicle Crossing Permits, Working within the Road Reserve Permits, including road, path and drainage construction principles.
  • Qualification or demonstrated experience in Civil Construction or similar role
  • Experience in monitoring contractor works to ensure compliance with standards
  • Functional Assessment (Physio/Medical Examination)
  • National Criminal History and Working with Children Check

Salary: starts at $ 71,267 (Band 5) per annum plus superannuation
