About the role

This role sits in the Child, Youth and Family team as part of the Community Life division which strives to develop healthy, active, connected and safe communities through the delivery of community facilities, events, experiences and life cycle services from birth to older age.

Parental Leave opportunities available

We have a number of parental leave limited tenure positions (until 21 January 2022) within our Kindergartens.

This role will plan, deliver, and lead inclusive, innovative and respectful kindergarten programs that deliver high quality outcomes for all children and families as well as support and implement the Kindergarten Services philosophy to achieve excellence in all aspects of service delivery.

In this role you will:

  • Work within and develop collaborative partnerships with children, families, professionals, and the wider community

  • Demonstrate sound practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Standards, (exceeding themes) the Planning Cycle and Victorian Early Years and Development Frameworks to deliver inclusive play-based programs that promote equitable, diverse and respectful practices that support the inclusion of all children, including those with additional needs

  • Provide creative and stimulating indoor and outdoor environments which enable all children to be active participants in their learning

  • Lead a team of passionate Early childhood educators to deliver exceptional educational programs

About you

  • An approved Early Childhood Teaching Qualification as recognised under the National Quality Framework by ACECQA

  • Victorian Institute of Teaching registration

  • Level 2 First Aid certified

  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence

  • Willingness to undertake pre employment checks (i.e. WCCC, National Criminal History Check, Functional Assessment and Eligibility to Work in Australia)
