About the role

This role sits in the Child Youth and Family Business Operations team as part of the Community Life division which strives to develop healthy, active, connected, and safe communities through the delivery of community facilities, events, experiences, and life cycle services from birth to older age.

The primary role of the Business Operations Compliance Officer is to provide specialist information and advice to families and educators of the City of Casey Family Day Care and ensure regulatory compliance with Child Care Subsidy and payments.

In this role, you will:

  • Administer Child Care Subsidy for Family Day Care in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Interpret and provide accurate advice on Child Care Subsidy payments to Family Day Care families and educators.
  • Monitor and review educator timesheets for compliance before submitting to Centrelink for approval.
  • Manage the timely and accurate processing of fortnightly Family Day Care Educator payroll data to the Finance Department in accordance with organisation policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and reconcile attendance, subsidy and pay anomalies and monitor educator compliance with Child Care Subsidy legislation.
  • Provide staff, families, and educators with legislative updates as they occur.
  • Prepare reports, reconciliations and correspondence and undertake other administrative tasks related to enrolment, attendance, and subsidy functions.
  • Provide data to support financial acquittals and audits of Child Care Subsidy.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar business role within a varied, complex organisation would be highly desirable. 
  • Demonstrated experience within childcare administration would be beneficial.
  • Strong level of computer proficiency (across Microsoft Office Suite). 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management skillset.
  • Willingness to obtain a National Criminal History Check.
  • Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check.
  • Possess a valid Victorian Driver’s License.
